Honor Statement

The Honor Committee wishes to
express its concern about any possible
misunderstandings generated by its
recent mailing. The Committee's sole
intention in reporting to the University
community was to clarify the issues
considered in support of its majority
decision to maintain the single sanction.

The Committee meant neither to
criticize any individuals nor to
influence the vote on the Honor
Committee elections and the Advisory
Referendum.

The Committee wishes to extend its
sincere apologies to those who took this
letter in a light other than that in which
it was intended.
